Interested choristers are invited to attend a free trial rehearsal. Find out more about our varied and challenging repertoire and regular performances accompanied by professional musicians. Some experience in choral singing or reading music is preferable, but not essential. If you can’t make the Open Evening contact us & arrange another time to attend.

‘Choral Workshop’ Sunday 4 March 1:30pm - 4pm
Wentworth Falls Public School
A workshop designed for choral groups who love to sing and are keen to develop their technique and ensemble skills. Open to all Blue Mountains choristers, and conducted by Michelle Foreman, who completed a Diploma in Operatic Art at the NSW Conservatorium, and has worked both in Australia and overseas with many professional companies, touring UK and USA with London City Opera.She currently works as a vocal consultant and voice teacher.
A donation of $5 to assist with expenses would be appreciated.

This concert features Ariel Ramirez’ exciting work from 1963 based on the rhythms and traditions of Hispanic America. Also on the program are European sacred works from the nineteenth century.

Academy Singers has been invited to sing this masterpiece with Penrith City Choir in Penrith Symphony Orchestra’s Subscription Concert ‘Music for Eternity’, conducted by Paul Terracini. Program also includes: Rimsky-Korsakov ‘Russian Easter Festival Overture’; Saint Saens ‘Danse Macabre’; and Liszt ‘Totentanz’.

‘Copland and Vaughan Williams’ Sunday 5 August 3.00pm
St Alban’s Anglican Church, Megalong Street, Leura
Two twentieth century composers who explored the richness of folk music in the English language are the focus of this concert. Copland’s uniquely American soundscapes are contrasted with Vaughan Williams’ traditional English heritage.
