Catriona McKay has been working in children's musical training and development over many years, including conducting music sessions and voice and choral training for primary and pre-school aged children.

Catriona studied voice for many years under Donald Munro, OAM.  She has the AMusA in classical singing and is qualified in the Orff-Schulwerk approach to music education.  More recently Catriona has studied choral conducting with Mark O'Leary of Melbourne Young Voices and the Kodaly Music Education Institute. She teaches privately and in schools and has also taught at the Mitchell Conservatorium at Bathurst, Masters  School of Music at Ryde, and the Waratah School of Music in the Blue Mountains.  

Catriona has performed in many vocal ensembles over the past 25 years, including The Dolce Singers, Voce Bravura, Bopera, Angelico, The Fortunes and the Sydney Philharmonia Choirs and Motet, as well as solo recital peformances.

She was Musical Director for the Footlight Festival (Blue Mountains) for three years and has created and directed several children's musical shows. 

Catriona is also a composer of music for children's choirs. Several of her compositions have been performed at combined schools events and 'The Crossing' was performed and recorded in 2014 to celebrate the Bicentennary of the crossing of the Blue Mountains.
